Artist's Description

This is a picture of the Boreal forest. The Boreal forest stretches across most of central to somewhat northern Canada in North America.

I took this photo in the forests around Paint Lake, Manitoba. I was camping in a secluded area after doing bird surveys for that day, and noticed the clear blue sky would make a good photo with the trees stretching upwards. So i lay down on the forest floor and snapped a couple of similar pictures of which this one turned out the best.

About James Petersen

James Petersen

I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area. Thank you for stopping by, if you like what you see I have a personal website that can be found here : http://james-petersen.artistwebsites.com/. Thank you and have a...
