This picture was taken at Liberty State Park while I was out birding. I noticed a flock of about 20 Horned Larks feeding in an open field. I sate down at the edge of the field and waited for the flock to gradually work their way over to me, which at this point I captured this shot.
I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area.
