Artist's Description
I was driving the logging roads in Northern Maine when I noticed this bird flush from a perch right next to the road and fly a little further into the forest. I parked my truck, grabbed my camera and stealthy crept into the woods and found this Barred Owl perch on a tree. I was able to capture this photograph of him before leaving him.
About James Petersen
I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area. Thank you for stopping by, if you like what you see I have a personal website that can be found here : http://james-petersen.artistwebsites.com/. Thank you and have a...
