This photograph was taken at Sandy Hook national recreation area in New Jersey. I was down there in the rain when the rain cleared up. I went for a walk on the beach than and came across this gull walking along the beach and snapped a picture of him walking along the beach.
I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area.
