This picture was taken in J. N. Ding Darling NWR when I noticed a group of feeding Herons right by the roadside. As I was observing this feeding frenzy, I noticed this heron perched in a tree over head by himself and captured his picture.
I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area.
