These are Royal Terns. Royal Terns are found on both coasts of North America.
I was sitting on the beach observing a large flock of Royal Terns on he ground when I noticed every few minuets a couple of these birds would fly in, land and join the flock. After a couple trys, I was able to catch these graceful birds in flight.
About James Petersen
I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area.
