This is a Savannah Sparrow, this picture was taken in Orono at the beginning of spring. I was out birding and came across a group of these sparrows bathing, so I sat down and waited for them to finish bathing and start walking around. To my lck, this one started walking around and walked close enough that I was able to snap this picture.
I am James Petersen and I have been birdwatching for over 5 years. I have used my vast experience of birdwatching to transition to photographing birds in their natural habitat and trying to show off each birds personalities. Aside from photographing birds, I also photograph nature and wild animals but have a focus on birds. All the animals and birds that I photograph are wild. Any animal I photograph I try to put as little stress on the animal as possible, if I sense or see that the animal knows that I am there and is not pleased by my presence than I leave the area.
